Intra Company Transferee, ICT
The Canadian Intra Company Transferee (ICT) Work Visa applies to foreign companies establishing subsidiaries, branches, or offices in Canada. This policy allows overseas companies to send their senior management or technical staff to work in their Canadian subsidiaries, enabling these employees to obtain Canadian work visas and their families to enjoy local public healthcare and public education services. This work visa has no geographical restrictions, allowing applicants to freely choose their desired city. There are no quota restrictions for the ICT work visa, nor is there a need for review by the Canadian Department of Labor, and there are no strict requirements regarding the age, language, and education level of the applicant. Typically, applicants can land in Canada within six months. After working for some time, applicants can apply for permanent residency through suitable immigration programs at the provincial or federal level.
Application conditions
Applicants must have at least one year of experience at the managerial level or higher within the company in the three years prior to the application.
Once the work visa is approved, the applicant must engage in management activities locally in Canada.
Applicants need to meet the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 7 or higher, meaning each IELTS (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing) score must be at least 6.
The Canadian company must be related to the domestic company as a parent, subsidiary, branch, or affiliated entity.
The main business of the Canadian company should be related to the domestic company's business, but there are no strict requirements regarding investment amounts and the number of employees.
